What ad space is available?
We have two major ad placements - a 60 by 60 pixels banner ad spot at the right side of our public search and Browse Story pages (our most heavily trafficked pages), and text links at the bottom of those same pages.

How much does ad space cost?

What can I advertise?
It’s probably easier to answer what you CANNOT advertise on our site. We do not allow any pornography, illegal or otherwise inappropriate ads on our websites. In the end, we reserve the right to say no to any inquiring advertiser. We may also limit religious or political ads because our website is not affiliated with any political party, particular religious organization, but is open to everyone.

What format(s) do you allow?
For the banner ads, the preferred formats are .GIF, .JPG or .PNG. They should not be larger than 50K in size. We will run animated ads (.GIF and .SWF files) but they should also be under 50K and must also be submitted to us for review. Animated ads that could irritate our audience (such as constantly flashing ads) will probably not be run. Any ad that incorporates sound must have the sound option defaulted to "off" and also have a built-in way for the viewer to turn the sound on or off. We do reserve the right to optimize pre-made graphics for site optimization (reducing file size, color filtering, etc) should the need arise, but if this is required we will contact you about it first. Animated ads that require optimization to meet these requirements will not be fixed by us but remain the advertiser’s responsibility.

Can you design an ad for me?
Yes, we have designers in house who would be more than willing to negotiate a fee for an ad development.

How do I get started?
Please contact us using our Contact page and be sure to include: a link to your site, the days you'd like the ad to run, what you want your ad to say or, if you already have it, the ad itself. We will contact you to let you know if the days you requested are available or, if they aren't, when the next available days are. If you'd like the ad designed for you please mention that as well.

After all the details are secured, we'll send you the cost of the ad space. We can accept payment by credit card, Paypal, money order, or corporate or personal checks. Checks will require bank clearance before ads are posted.

Can I post ads on people’s Story pages?
No, people’s Story pages are their Legacy they are leaving to their future generations and sharing with many people. We therefore wish to honor the sanctity of a personal Story and leave those pages ad-free.
